The Delaware Symphony Orchestra (DS0) is looking for it's next Maestro. Who will it be? A list that started with more than 300 of the world's finest conductors has been pared down to the final five. Each of the finalists will lead the orchestra for one performance during the 2002-03 season. Five talented conductors. Five phenomenal performances. Only one will win.

The Delaware Symphony Orchestra performs in Wilmington’s historic Grand Opera House. Single tickets or subscriptions can be purchased online and by visiting or calling the box office.

The Delaware Theatre Company is the Brandywine Valley’s only resident professional theatre. The annual season of six plays includes a mix of the classics as well as contemporary and new works for the stage, bringing noted professional actors, directors and designers to the region.

The Grand Opera House is an 1,100 seat Victorian opera house which has been meticulously restored to its original grandeur and outfitted to serve Delaware as a performance facility. From classical music to classic films, Broadway to ballet, there’s always something playing at the Grand–and there’s not a bad seat in the house.

Right next door is the 300-seat Baby Grand, a stunning addition that is ideal for smaller, more intimate performances. The Baby Grand is part of the Edith & Alexander Giacco building which also includes rehearsal and studio space, an art gallery administrative offices and the Grand Music School and Dance School.
