Im a dedicated, concerned and honest professional with a genuine commitment to providing my real estate clients with the information, insight and expertise required when buying or selling a home. Theres a lot of real estate agents out there, what makes me think Im different? Fair Question. Before getting into real estate, like many people in New Castle County I worked in Credit Card marketing. I was responsible for a good bit of the credit card "junk mail" you probably get. Preapproved Visas, Cash Advance Checks, Balance Transfer offers, Special Contests...I did it all. But, I wasnt happy. I wanted to feel passionate about my work. Growing up, my family moved a lot. My parents were self-employed entrepreneurs with a habit. They loved real estate. No matter where we were (and weve lived on both the East and West coasts) my parents bought and sold our homes. Sometimes I think Ive been in just about every new home model community across the country. In addition to picking up quite a few "decorating tips" from an early age (about 11 I think) I shared my parents passion for homes. Call it the excitement of moving somewhere new but I know it for another reason. I dreamed big dreams and I believed then, as I do now, that a home is more than walls and windows, a roof and doors. I believe a home is something special...a place to make your dreams come true, a place to keep your memories alive. So after years of working in the world of financial services I traded in my day job. I knew how to effectively sell a product 99% of folks didnt want, I knew I could sell a product I felt good about! So I gave myself a chance to do something I dont think a lot of people do, a chance to do work I could love. But did I mention that Real Estate Sales is a 100% commission business? There are no health care, insurance or disability benefits...no paid vacation...no holidays... no car allowance or expense account....no nothing. And if thats not enough, there are few if any industries alive today that are as government regulated (including Banking!) I pay significant fees to national, state, and county agencies to be licensed in Delaware and Pennsylvania. Plus theres continuing education requirements to attend and pay for annually. And all this comes out of my share after Ive paid my broker her half of the commission. You see Im not embarrassed to tell you how I make money, I think people need to know I dont get a weekly paycheck. I only get paid for my time, effort and investment when a home is sold. So thats the other side, the side most agents dont tell you about. So I hope youll forgive me when I say I was a little scared about getting into this business. But I havent looked back. At the end of the day, I like to think I bring enthusiasm, dedication, experience and honesty to the table. My goal is to provide my clients with the kind of support I would want to receive if I were them. I dont believe that my job is to sell houses to my clients, I think houses sell houses. I view my job as guiding people through the home buying and selling process. I specialize in providing my clients with the information and resources needed to make qualified decisions about real estate. My special focus is on residential property in New Castle County, Delaware and Southern Chester County, Pennsylvania. However, I am able to work with anyone wishing to buy or sell residential, commercial or land locally or anywhere in the world through my associations with various referral networks. This means no matter where people are moving, if Im not the best agent for a clients specific need - I can find the best broker with the area of expertise desired and have a Realtor specialist ready at the destination - anywhere on the globe!
Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time. Thanks for allowing me to introduce myself to you, I hope to get to know you too! Member:
